Mariano is hoping to follow in the footsteps of Dani Alves after signing a contract with Sevilla.
Mariano was unveiled to the media on Tuesday after completing his move from Bordeaux. The uncapped Brazilian right-back is looking to take inspiration from Dani Alves, who spent six years at Sevilla between 2002 and 2008 during which time he made his international debut. He said: “Alves has done many good things here and I want to do the same. Dani has played in the Brazilian national team and for me to be where he was, it’s very important. I am very happy because Sevilla are a great club and I am very pleased to be here.”
