Manchester United continued their preparations for the new season with a comfortable 3-1 victory against San Jose Earthquakes in the International Champions Cup.
Youngster Andreas Pereira scored for the reds and his increased playing time in the competition will give him hope he can break into the first team in the coming months.
Juan Mata opened the scoring for United and Memphis Depay struck before Fatai Alashe grabbed a reply for the American team. Pereira settled the contest midway through the second half and looked bright throughout.
Pereira only played a handful of minutes last season and was quick to outline his aims for the coming campaign.
“I want to get more opportunities and have the chance to play as many games as possible.”
