Udinese midfielder Allan is hopeful of joining Napoli at their pre-season training on Monday, according to reports.
The website of respected Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claims that the Brazilian’s move to Napoli is finally on the brink of being concluded.
Negotiations between all parties involved have taken place over a number of weeks, but it is only now that a deal has seemingly been struck.
Napoli are expected to sell defender Miguel Britos to Watford – they have the same owners as Udinese – while Colombian forward Duván Zapata is set to move to Udinese on a two year loan, alongside a currently unspecified transfer fee.
This iexchange of players and money should lead to Allan signing with Napoli and an official announcement is expected imminently.
The 24 year-old’s contract at Udinese expires in June 2016 and, as a result, it has long been assumed he will move on in the summer transfer window.
Internazionale were thought to have initially been keen on securing Allan, but Napoli moved to the forefront and have been intent on finding an agreement for one of Serie A’s most highly regarded midfielders for some time.
Last season, Allan scored twice and provided six assists in 38 appearances in all competitions, while across his three year stay at Udinese he has featured in over 100 matches.
