Besiktas have targeted Grêmio’s Rhodolfo as they look to strengthen their defence ahead of the new season.
The 28 year old centre back has been a consistent performer in the Brasileiro and Grêmio are currently only three points off top spot. Besiktas offered an initial €3.3 million that was to be paid in three installments but the offer was quickly rejected.
One of the main reasons Grêmio want a larger bid is because they would owe 50% of any transfer fee to Rhodolfo’s former club Atlético Paranaense. Another bid is expected to be submitted in the next few days.
