Ahead of Liverpool’s pre-season games this summer, midfielder Lucas Leiva feels that the Reds will be well served by playing in weather conditions different from those they are used to playing in at home.
Liverpool are scheduled to play five friendly games against a Thai Premier League XI, Brisbane Roar, Adelaide United, a Malaysia XI and HJK Helsinki respectively during their pre-season tour of Thailand, Australia, Malaysia and Finland. Lucas said: “I think one of the things that will probably help us is the weather. We are used to playing in weather that is very cold and here it is very warm, which will be harder for us. I think we will benefit going forward.”
