Thiago Silva was present at the Maracanã last night as his former club Fluminense beat Cruzeiro 1-0 to move up to 2nd in the league table.

The PSG defender was widely blamed for his handball which allowed Paraguay to equalise from the penalty spot during Brazil’s Copa America quarter final defeat in Concepcion, and is now taking some much needed rest before returning to Paris to begin pre-season training.

And the 30-year-old did not miss the opportunity to visit his old club Fluminense where he remains popular and has kept strong ties.
