Botafogo are still awaiting their first payment of around €1 million from Olympique Marseille for the transfer of Doria. The sum was expected by July 1 but Domingos Fleury, legal representative of the Carioca club, told Extraglobo that the Fogão would send notice to the French club to settle up within 48 hours or else they will be forced to call on FIFA to address the problem and procure the full transfer value of €6m.

“We will send a formal notification Wednesday [today] for settlement," he said. "If this is not done, we will indeed refer the case to FIFA and UEFA to procure the payment of the total value of the sale of Doria."

The outfit from the south of France must pay €6m in installments with the first payment of one million euros due on 1 July and two million due in July 2016 with another due December 2016 and finally a million in July 2017.
