Matheus Cassini confirmed a five-year deal with Sicilian outfit Palermo on Monday, after passing his medical and being given the green light by former club Corinthians.
The value of the 19-year-old’s transfer is estimated to have been €1.5 million, of which the Brazilian club will receive 70%.
“I am very happy to start a new phase of my life. This is an opportunity everybody wanted. I was very well received by the club and I have already felt the warmth of the fans. I am very motivated to begin my first season here at Palermo.” Cassini said.
Revealed in the last Sao Paulo U20 tournament, the midfielder did not play a single game for the Corinthians first team.
