Fiorentina and Roma have enquired about the possibility of signing Internacional goalkeeper Alisson, according to reports.

Sky Sport Italia, as cited by Football Italia, claims that the two Serie A based clubs are keen on securing the 22 year-old, as they look to renew their goalkeeping options.

Fiorentina’s need is perhaps, more pressing, given that they have already lost Brazilian Neto.

He announced in January that he would not be renewing his contract, which expired in June, and has subsequently agreed a deal with Fiorentina’s rivals, Juventus.

New Head Coach Paulo Sousa currently only has Romania international Ciprian Tătărușanu and veteran reserve Antonio Rosati at his disposal and purchasing Alisson would add some much needed competition.

Roma also find themselves short on depth in the goalkeeping department. Veteran Morgan De Sanctis remains in place, but his substitutes, Bogdan Lobonț and Gianluca Curci, are not considered especially reliable.

De Sanctis main competitor last season was one time Poland international Łukasz Skorupski, but he has moved on to Empoli on loan.

To secure Alisson, both Roma and Fiorentina are believed to need around €7 million, while his contract at Internacional runs until November 2016.

This season, he has featured 17 times in all competitions, with veteran Dida and Muriel left in reserve.
