Fiorentina owned forward Ryder Matos could move on to Serie A newcomers Carpi, according to one of his representatives.

Lawyer Emiliano Salvarezza, speaking to website CalcioNews24, as cited by Football Italia, has suggested that a switch is a possibility.

“As far as I know, that move is not impossible right now,” he stated.

Matos is currently on loan at Palmeiras, back in Brazil. He joined them in January and is scheduled to remain in São Paulo until December.

The 22 year-old may be tempted to return to Italy early however, due to his current lack of playing time.

In all competitions, he is yet to feature, while he has only been named as a substitute twice. The last time that was the case was a 2-1 defeat to Figueirense in June.

If Matos was to move on to Carpi, he would be confident of having a move prominent role.

The minnows secured a shock promotion to Serie A last term and are now looking to build a squad capable of competing in Italy’s top division.

Matos has made 23 appearances in Serie A, without scoring for Fiorentina, but he did manage three goals and two assists during their 2013/14 UEFA Europa League campaign.
