Liverpool are in talks to sign Internacional midfielder Allan, according to reports.

The Guardian’s website claims that the 18 year-old – full name Allan Rodrigues de Souza – is valued at around €700,000.

Discussions between Internacional and Liverpool have already been initiated and it is possible that an agreement could be reached in the near future.

Allan came to Liverpool’s attention when he was playing against the Reds for Internacional’s under-18 side.

The encounter happened at the Frenz International Cup, which was held in Indonesia and Kuala Lumpur earlier this year and won by Internacional.

The Guardian report suggests Allan’s showing impressed Liverpool coaches and has led to a move to England potentially becoming a reality.

How the deal would be put together and whether he would be able to qualify for an EU passport is currently unclear, but if he does arrive at Liverpool, he will become manager Brendan Rodgers’ eighth signing of the summer, following on from Ádám Bogdán [Bolton Wanderers], Nathaniel Clyne [Southampton], Roberto Firmino [TSG 1899 Hoffenheim], Joe Gomez [Charlton Athletic], Danny Ings [Burnley], James Milner [Manchester City] and Bobby Adekanye [Barcelona].
