The Brazil international feels he will be third in the pecking order but hopes to cement a spot in the first team and is relishing facing ex-Santos team-mate Neymar in the Clásico.
Real Madrid’s Danilo has said that he is aiming to overtake Dani Carvajal and Álvaro Arbeloa as the team’s first choice right-back this season. The €31.5 million signing will be teaming up with los Blancos for the first time in pre-season after his transfer from Porto was made official in March. He said: “Right now, I’m third choice for the right-back spot. Carvajal and Álvaro Arbeloa have made history together with the club, and I must win my place in the side.”
