Atlético de Madrid defender Miranda has suggested that his long protracted move to Internazionale could be confirmed imminently.
The 30 year-old has been representing Brazil at the 2015 Copa América over recent weeks, but following their exit on penalties against Paraguay at the quarter-final stage, talk over his future has intensified.
Rumours have long claimed that he is set to depart Atlético and make a switch to Inter in the summer transfer window, but due to his role at the Copa América, nothing had been finalised.
With Brazil’s participation at the tournament now concluded, Miranda is expected to complete his move to Italy and when quizzed on the subject, the centre-back seemingly suggestion it will happen soon.
“Am I going to Inter? Could be…” he told UOL, as reported by website Football Italia. “My future will be defined over the next few days.”
Miranda has been with Atlético since they signed him from São Paulo in July 2011 on a free transfer.
With the Colchoneros, he has made 177 appearances in all competitions and won five major honours, including the 2013-14 La Liga title.
Despite his strong partnership in central defence with Diego Godín, Miranda has come under increasing pressure from José Giménez for his starting berth and was limited to just 23 appearances in the league last term.
The former Coritiba and Sochaux stopper is now seemingly set to move on, as a result, and if he does join Inter, he could end up playing alongside fellow Brazilian, Juan Jesus.
