Peru striker Guerrero is wary of the Seleção’s collective threat, but has targeted a win in their first Copa América game.
Paolo Guerrero said Peru’s focus for their Copa América clash with Brazil extends beyond stopping Neymar. Neymar is coming off a 39-goal season at Barcelona, where he also won a treble of Champions League, Liga and Copa del Rey titles. Guerrero told reporters: “We have not done any specific work to mark Neymar, we play against Brazil and not against Neymar alone. We have to be focused on all the players, because they are all important. We are very good, the team is concentrated and focused on Brazil. It is very important to get a good result in the first match in these championships, and we are working to do just that.”
