Agent Dinorah Santana has confirmed there has been contact with Milan regarding Barcelona"s Daniel Alves.

The Brazil international – capped 79 times since debuting in 2006 – is out of contract in June and widely expected to move on to another club.

Barcelona have already secured Aleix Vidal from Sevilla for a reported fee of €17 million and even though he cannot be registered until January 2016 due to a transfer ban, his arrival is seen as a sign that Alves will not agree renewed terms.

The 32 year-old has already hinted that he could be interested in signing with Milan and now his agent, Santana, has affirmed in an interview with Tuttomercatoweb that there has been some discussions, though notes a move to Serie A is not guaranteed.

"Yes, I can confirm there has been contact with Milan," stated the representative, as reported by website Football Italia.

"For now we’ll have to wait, I have to talk directly to Dani and together we’ll evaluate what to do. It’s not only Milan who want him, there have been other offers which I don’t want to reveal.

"We’ll just have to wait and see how things evolve."

Alves was signed by Barcelona from Sevilla for a reported fee of €35.5 million in July 2008. Since then, he has featured over 300 times for the Catalan outfit and won 19 major honours.

This season, he has been ever-present, making 46 appearances in all competitions, as part of a side that has secured a historic treble [La Liga, Copa del Rey and UEFA Champions League].
