Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho has promised the club"s fans that he will score more goals next season.

The 22 year old had a terrific campaign for Liverpool this year but the only disappointment was his low strike rate. Coutinho scored just five league goals in 35 games.

 

You always strive for consistency.
“The game here in England is more intense both with the ball and without the ball.
“I have been trying to adapt so that I can play that kind of game and have a greater intensity about my work.
“[Goalscoring] is something I am working on in every training session.
“That element of my game has improved but my objective is to try to increase those numbers again and I will be aiming to next season.

Coutinho is hoping he can bring a medal back to Merseyside at the end of the summer as he is currently preparing for this year"s Copa America with Brazil.
