Former Arsenal left back Andre Santos has been suspended for thirty days after testing positive for a banned substance.
The 32 year old was tested four months ago while playing for Botafogo. The procedure was carried out after their match against São Bento on February 11th.
The Court of Justice Sportive de Sao Paulo took their time in making a decision because it was unknown whether the substance was deliberately taken or not. It has not yet been revealed what the substance was.
Andre Santos is currently without a club and this latest news will make it harder for the former Arsenal flop to gain a contract anywhere.
