After failing to live up to expectations with a disappointing fourth-placed finish at the South American championships earlier this year, Brazil’s Under-20 side will begin their World Cup campaign tonight against Nigeria in New Plymouth, New Zealand.
Rogério Micale’s team won their two pre-tournament friendlies against Australia and Portugal, each by a goal to nil, but will be in for a tough test this evening against the African champions.
Brazil’s probable line-up:
Marcos, João Pedro, Marlon, Lucão, Jorginho; Jaja, Alef, Andreas Pereira, Gabriel Jesus; Judivan, Marcos Guilherme.
