Peru international will leave Corinthians at the end of his current contract, according to his representatives.
The 31-year-old, whose current deal with the São Paulo giants expires on July 15, has been in locked in negotiations with the club about an extension, and improvement, to his present deal for the past few months. Guerrero’s management agency, OTB Sports, have now confirmed that there will be no agreement between the two parties. They said: “OTB SPORTS and Corinthians, represented by its president, did their best to reach a trade agreement for the permanence of Paolo Guerrero at the club. Unfortunately, it was not possible. The player will fulfill his contract with Corinthians until July 15, 2015 and will continue working with the same commitment and dedication that he has shown over the past three years.”
