Harry Redknapp has told Tottenham Hotspur"s Brazilian midfielder Paulinho to get his act together after ex-team-mate Heurelho Gomes warned players against signing for the club.
Gomes who joined Spurs back in 2008, endured a topsy-turvy time at White Hart Lane which saw goalkeeping errors detract from a number of impressive displays before eventually being dropped by Redknapp and left in the cold by his successor André Villas-Boas. Gomes has now advised footballers against joining the north London side as he sees compatriot Paulinho frozen out of the first-team. But Redknapp said: “It’s up to them [big-money signings] to come and perform and Paulinho hasn’t. If they’re going to come over here they have got to produce the goods and Paulinho at the moment, like so many other lads at Tottenham who were bought for big money, hasn’t produced."
