Palmeiras’ match on Sunday could mark a reunion of defender Jackson and the defensive midfielder Amaral with their former club Goiás. Both were wearing the opponent’s shirt last season before their transfers to Palmeiras. The tie takes place at 11am in the Allianz Park, and the pair may also be able to help by providing inside information on their opponent.

Jackson said: “I know that the fact I’m now here at Palmeiras owes a lot to Goiás. It was a good move for me, my family liked the city and quickly adapted. But now I’m on the other side and we need to get our first win in the Brasileirão. I played with several players who are still there and it’s a quality team.”
