Former Brazil international Bebeto believes that Copa América 2015 offers the Seleção a chance to recover their reputation in international football.
Following their capitulation in the semi-finals of World Cup 2014 when they were thrashed 7-1 by Germany on home soil, Brazil have slowly been trying to regain their lost prestige under new coach Dunga. Bebeto said: “Copa América will be difficult, but the boys have to wear the Brazil shirt feeling very proud. They need to take to the field in the mood to play, concentrated. We have to recover the bad impression that was the 2014 World Cup. We have to rescue the football. With Brazil winning the Copa América title, people will forget some of that defeat last year.”
