Marcelo failed to reach his second consecutive Champions League final as Real Madrid lost out to Juventus 3-2 on aggregate in the semi finals.

Real were on track to go through on away goals when they took the lead with a Ronaldo penalty in the first half but Juventus hit back. Alvaro Morata equalised against his former team in the 57th minute as the Italian side held out for a 1-1 draw at the Bernebeu.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti is now under pressure but Marcelo has given him all his support following the match.

“He’s a winner,” insisted the Brazilian full back. “For me, Mister (Ancelotti) will continue, he is a great coach.”
