CONMEBOL announced on Tuesday that it will hold an Under-20 Copa Libertadores tournament from 2016.
The tournament will be held every two years and its format will be the same as the Copa America, with 12 participants, one from each country, plus the previous champion and a guest of the host country.
The competition will last 15 days, from January 27, according to the president of the Chilean Federation, Sergio Jadue, responsible for CONMEBOL’s competitions sector.
