Orlando City SC manager Adrian Heath has hailed the role Kaká played in his side’s comeback at home to New England Revolution on Saturday.

The Brazil international – capped 89 times – was on the pitch for 90 minutes, as late goals from Cyle Larin and Aurélien Collin rescued a 2-2 draw for Orlando at Orlando Citrus Bowl Stadium.

Speaking after the match, Heath praised Kaká for ensuring Orlando kept pushing for the goals they needed and highlighted him and Cristian Higuita as they key to their recovery.

“Kaká was outstanding with his willingness to make things happen,” he stated, as reported by website MLS Soccer. “It’s very easy when things aren’t going your way for people to hide, but that didn’t happen tonight. He kept driving us forward and Cristian did fantastic after coming on.”

That draw with New England leaves Orlando 7th in the Eastern Conference, with nine points from nine games.

An issue for them has been their home form, with the result against New England just the second point they have secured at Orlando Citrus Bowl Stadium so far.

Kaká has scored in only home game this season – a 1-1 draw with New York City FC – with his other two strikes coming away to Montreal Impact and Portland Timbers respectively.
