Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos has insisted he is happy at the club as rumours about his future continue to circulate.
The 20 year defender was said to have been unhappy in January after finding himself regularly on the bench but has played more frequently in the last few months. Barcelona remain interested in the young Brazilian but it seems he is now content in France.
“The club has confidence in me, and I am happy in Paris,” Marquinhos told reporters. “Last summer, I thought it was going to depend on me, my performance. In football the team isn’t made up of one or two players. For the whole season the coach needs everyone. I may have started as a substitute but in the end, I have played a lot of games. I played in central defence, as a full back and also in midfield.”
