Young São Paulo defender Rodrigo Caio expressed pleasure regarding interest from Atlético Madrid but insisted he is fully focused on his current team.
Atlético have made Caio one of their main transfer targets and at 21 he has vast potential for the future.
“I am happy,” Caio told reporters. “All players like to be valued. I’ll let my agent decide on my next move. I am an employee of this club though and I have to respect the institution. My agents are in charge. I’m totally focused on São Paulo FC, we are in a very important competition and the team is progressing. I am happy at São Paulo and I’m working hard to force myself into the starting eleven.”
It is believed Caio would cost Atlético around £2 million.
