Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho has been ranked in a study the ninth-best young attacking midfielder in Europe.
The study, carried out by the CIES Football Observatory, ranked the ten best attacking midfielders in Europe under the age of 23, and 22-year-old Coutinho was the only Brazilian to make the cut, with Real Madrid’s Isco coming out in first place of Monaco’s Bernardo Silva.
Coutinho, whose excellent form for the Reds this season earned him a place in the PFA Team of the Year, was also today named in Brazil’s squad for the Copa America by head coach Dunga.
