Agent Alessandro Canovi has admitted it is "flattering" for Thiago Motta to be linked with a return to Internazionale.

The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder, who was signed from Inter in January 2012 for a reported fee of €11.5 million, is said to be a possible target for the Serie A outfit.

Head Coach Roberto Mancini is believed to be keen on adding experience to his midfield and along with Manchester City’s Yaya Touré, Motta could be an option.

For Canovi, a representative of the Italy international, a move back to Inter could be plausible. He notes however, that Motta is well respected at PSG.

"For the moment these are only rumours," he told Tuttomercatoweb, as reported by website Football Italia.

"The statements by President [Nasser] Al-Khelaifi, who has described him as one of the leaders at PSG, were extremely welcome.

"But I can"t deny that the Nerazzurri"s interest is very flattering. Given his moment, Thiago Motta commands the attention of many clubs."

Motta was first signed by Inter in July 2009 for a reported fee of €10.2 million. The 32 year-old was part of one of the club’s most successful spells in their recent history and won six major honours, including the 2009/10 UEFA Champions League and 2010 FIFA Club World Cup.

Since joining PSG, he has also enjoyed heavy success, winning two consecutive Ligue 1 titles, as well four other honours.

Earlier in his career, Motta won numerous titles with Barcelona (five major honours), while he also played for Atlético de Madrid.
