Ronaldinho’s took to Twitter yesterday to congratulate former club Atlético Mineiro on their state-championship-final win over Caldense, despite rumours linking him with an impending move to Galo’s rivals Cruzeiro.
A move back to Belo Horizonte was being heavily reported last week, with Raposa director of football Valdir Barbosa quoted confirming an offer had been made for the former Barcelona star.
However, Barbosa has since denied the claims and the move looks even more unlikely now after Ronaldinho’s tribute to arch-rivals Atlético and former teammate Jó whose winning goal was his first in over a year.
Ronaldinho wrote: ‘Massive victory for Atlético and for my partner Jó, incredible how one goal can change everything.’
