The Orlando City midfielder was not chosen by previous coach Luiz Felipe Scolari to play at the 2014 World Cup, but he has reason for optimism with the Seleção rampant under Dunga.

The 2014 World Cup hosts have won all eight of their friendly matches since Dunga took over, following their exit to Germany at the semi-final stage of last summer’s FIFA World Cup. Kaká featured in two of those matches, coming on as a substitute during wins against Argentina and Japan last October. He told BBC: “If Dunga thinks I can fit in this team, I’ll be ready. I think I can still play for Brazil and help with my skills and experience, but it does not depend on me.”
