Spain: Neymar strikes in Barcelona victory
Barcelona thrashed Cordoba 8-0 on Saturday to maintain their lead at the top of La Liga. Neymar had a quiet match but still managed to grab himself a goal by converting an 85th minute penalty. Cordoba are now relegated after 17 games without a win.
In Malaga, Jonathas netted his twelve goal of the season as Elche beat their hosts 2-1.

France: Nice hit back to pick up a point
Nice and Caen played out a 1-1 draw that leaves both clubs dangerously close to the relegation zone. Caen opened the scoring but Carlos Eduardo equalised for the hosts four minutes before half time. Eduardo’s goal was the Brazilian’s tenth of the season.

Portugal: Jonas scores in Benfica rout
Benfica strolled to a 5-0 victory over Gil Vicente on Saturday as they remain three points clear at the top of the table. Jonas netted his seventeenth goal of the season before setting up Lima to score in the second half. Luisão also grabbed a rare goal with an early second half strike.

Russia: Hulk grabs a last minute leveller
League leaders Zenit St Petersburg snatched a point in the dying seconds as they drew 1-1 with Spartak Moscow. Romulo opened the scoring for the hosts early in the second half before Hulk struck his thirteenth goal of the season in the last minute.

Ukraine: Moraes scores to no avail
Metalurg Donetsk striker Junior Moraes scored his fifth goal of the season but couldn’t prevent Zorya Luhansk from picking up a comfortable 4-2 victory.
