Chelsea’s Ramires is recovering from kidney stones instead of celebrating his club’s title triumph.

The energetic midfielder was taken into hospital before Chelsea’s match against Crystal Palace as he suffered pain while in the changing room.

The problem isn’t too serious but it will stop Ramires from celebrating the one trophy he was missing with Chelsea. The Brazilian has now won every possible honour at the club.

“Ramires went to hospital,” Mourinho told reporters after the 1-0 win against Palace. “He was feeling so bad that we decided to take him out of the dressing room and take him to hospital. I’m going to visit Ramires now. Maybe he’s not there anymore, but he was feeling really bad, really ill.”
