Brazil coach Alexandre Gallo named his squad for the upcoming FIFAU20 World Cup in New Zealand, but two notable omissions include Fluminense"s Gérson and Santos" Gabigol.

Brazil will begin their New Zealand 2015 campaign against Nigeria on 1 June, before taking on Hungary and Korea DPR in Group E. Asked about not selecting the Fluminense starlet, Gallo praised the 17-year-old but said that he will not talk about players that are not in the squad. He also talked about his group-stage opponents. Gallo was quoted in FIFA"s website: “We called up committed players who have experience representing their country and have their [careers] shaped. We need players who are fully focused on our targets. Nigeria always cause us problems. They’re a strong team, technically good with good players. Hungary have a typically European style; direct football, tall players. North Korea don’t have very technical players, but they close you down a lot, they have speed and counter-attack intensely."
