Udinese Sporting Director Cristiano Giaretta has conceded it may be time for in demand midfielder Allan to move on.
The 24 year-old has been a consistent performer for the Zebrette over the past three seasons and has now scored two goals in 113 appearances.
This term, he has been ever-present under Head Coach Andrea Stramaccioni and with just over a year left on his contract and with numerous clubs interested in him, Giaretta suggests he is ready to make a step up.
"His value is down to the market," Giaretta explained to Radio Crc, as reported by website Football Italia.
"When you sit down to listen to an offer, then reach a deal, that’s how you decide what a player is worth.
"Allan’s growth is like [Roberto] Pereyra’s [who went to Juventus], yesterday [against Internazionale] he played his 100th Serie A game.
"It’s not easy to find midfielders who combine both phases, and Allan has strong characteristics in attack, defence and also in a holding role.
“He’s young, and is ready to make the step up to any big team."
Amongst the clubs who are reportedly interested in Allan are Internazionale and Napoli. The latter, in particular, are expected to be in the market for a new midfielder and though Giaretta insists no talks have taken place, he states that a move could happen.
"Napoli? I haven’t talked to them, but I will," he noted. "Between ourselves and Napoli we’re all friends, so we’ll sit down and talk about it.
"The relationship between the two clubs is excellent, and maybe good friends [President of Napoli Aurelio] De Laurentiis and [Udinese patron Vittorio] Pozzo will discuss it.
"As for Inter, we initiated a discussion with them last summer, let’s see how things develop.
“There are also many opportunities abroad."
Allan was signed by Udinese initially on loan from Granada in July 2012. That move was made permanent for a reported fee of €3 million in July 2014.
