Bayern Munich can no longer win the treble after being beaten by Borussia Dortmund on penalties in the DFB-Pokal.
Munich’s Brazilian right back Rafinha was on course to reach the final of the competition for the third successive season but will now have to concentrate on the Champions League after Bayern lost a game that they were controlling.
Former Dortmund star Robert Lewandowski gave Bayern the lead midway through the first half but Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang levelled fifteen minutes from the end.
What followed was a bizarre penalty shootout where Bayern missed all four of their penalties to allow Dortmund to progress 2-0 in the shootout.
