Former Arsenal striker Paul Merson believes that this weekend’s game between Arsenal and Chelsea will be decided on Diego Costa’s fitness.
Costa has missed Chelsea’s last two matches with a hamstring problem and it is unlikely that he will play any part against Arsenal. But Merson believes that if the Brazilian born forward is fit, it will be a different game.
“This game all depends on Diego Costa,” he told Sky Sports.”If Costa’s fit it’s a different game, but if he ain’t fit I can’t see any goals. I think Mourinho will go there, make sure they don’t lose, and that will be it.”
Even if Diego Costa can’t make the match his replacement, Didier Drogba, has a record of 15 goals in 15 games against the Gunners.
