It seems that Rafael may well be leaving Manchester United this summer as the club have been linked to the two Premier League right backs.

Daryl Janmaat of Newcastle and Nathaniel Clyne of Southampton have both been watched by Louis van Gaal. If either player signs it will mean Rafael gets pushed further back in the pecking order at the club.

Things seemed rosy for Rafael when he won the league title with the club two years ago as he made 28 appearances in the league. This season that number has dropped to only 9 with Antonio Valencia being preferred at right back.

Rafael has now been ruled out for the season after cracking three ribs in an under 21 game against Leicester two days ago. It may well be his last appearance in a Manchester United shirt.
