Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has named his five football idols, two of which are Brazilian Ballon d’Or winners.

Ramos was asked by UEFA to name five players who he admired as a youngster in his five-a-side dream team.The 29-year-old, who scored the important 93rd minute equaliser in last season’s Champions League final for Real Madrid, included one Los Blancos legend, two former Brazilian stars, one Argentine and one Italian defender into his team. He first named former AC Milan great, Paolo Maldini, who has won five Champions League titles with the Serie A giants. Real Madrid legend and Carlo Ancelotti’s current assistant coach, Fernando Hierro was the second defender called into Ramos’ side. The duo is joined by former Argentina winger, Claudio Caniggia, who had his best days in the early 1990s. Former Ballon d’Or winners, Ronaldo de Lima and Rivaldo are the last two players Ramos admired growing up.
