With his brace to helping defeat Cruzeiro in the Campeonato Mineiro semi-final on Sunday, Argentinian striker Lucas Pratto demonstrated that he could be the goal-scorer to replace the recently departed Diego Tardelli for Atlético Mineiro.

A different type of forward to Tardelli, the former Velez Sarsfield hitman relies less on skill and pace but more on power and finishing ability, but he has already demonstrated his value to his new team with some vital goals and he is delighted to have adapted so quickly to life in Belo Horizonte.

Pratto told the Brazilian press: "Everything comes through work, there is always more to learn and improve. We have teammates who have many experiences like Jo, I always try to learn with him, he is always available to share and I love to ask him about certain topics. I also discuss with Victor and Leo[nardo Silva] to adapt here as well as possible."
