Napoli, Porto, Roma and Sporting CP are set to battle it out to sign Torino wing-back Bruno Peres in the summer transfer window, according to reports.

The website of respected Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claims that a clutch of illustrious clubs are ready to bid for Peres, who has been a standout performer for Torino this term.

The 25 year-old was signed by the Granata from Santos for a reported fee of just €2 million in September 2014 and has gone on to feature 26 times in Serie A, scoring twice.

A highlight of Peres’ campaign to date was a wonderful solo goal that he scored in the Derby della Mole defeat to Juventus, while he also netted in a 1-1 draw with Milan in January.

The São Paulo native’s stock has risen so considerably over recent months that the report on Gianluca Di Marzio’s website suggests Torino will demand around €20 million to relinquish him in the summer – €7 million more than they allegedly requested when Roma enquired in January.

Such a fee is likely to stretch the resources of the clubs said to be interested, but the likes of Napoli and Roma may look to tempt Torino with a an offer that includes various players, which would lower the financial outlay.
