Agent Bernardo Silva: Bruno Peres "will certainly leave Torino this summer"Juventus' Patrice Evra (R) fights for the ball with Torino's Bruno Peres during their Serie A match at Juventus Stadium on 30th November, 2014
Bernardo Silva, the agent of wing-back Bruno Peres, has suggested his client will move on from Torino in the summer transfer window.
The 25 year-old, who played 90 minutes in Saturday’s 2-1 win at Atalanta, has been a standout performer in Serie A this season and, as such, has reportedly drawn interest from elsewhere in Italy and around Europe.
Speaking to Tuttosport, Silva acknowledged that Peres was likely to leave and also noted that he might have gone in the January transfer window had Roma matched Torino’s valuation.
"I went to Italy in January to discuss Roma's offer of €8 million, but Torino values the player at €13 million,” he said, as reported by journalist Gianluca Di Marzio’s official website.
“Bruno Peres will certainly leave Torino this summer, we need to determine if he'll join Roma or another big European club. In my opinion, he's the best wing back in Serie A.”
Peres was signed by Torino from Santos for a reported fee of €2 million in September 2014. The São Paulo native, who has also had spells at Audax São Paulo, Bragantino and Guarani, has made 26 appearances so far this season, scoring twice.
