Since the end of January Arsenal have looked a tougher defensive nut to crack and one of the reasons behind this can be attributed to Gabriel Paulista.
The 24 year old centre back has been a rock steady prescence in the Gunners back line since signing from Villareal and recent stats indicate just why.
The young Brazilian has won 73 per cent of his duels in the league so far which is much more than fellow Arsenal defenders Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny. He has also 86 per cent of his headed duels which is impressive for a player not much taller than 6 foot.
Paulista was in the most recent Brazil squad and will be hoping he can retain his place by continuing his rapid progress.
