Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are set to compete for TSG 1899 Hoffenheim attacking midfielder Roberto Firmino, according to reports.

ESPN Brasil, as cited by website xinhuanet, claims that the English Premier League outfits have been impressed with the 23 year-old’s performances for both Hoffenheim and Brazil and are ready to move for him in the summer transfer window.

Firmino is reportedly valued at around €25 million and gave English-based fans a glimpse of his capabilities when he scored in Brazil’s 1-0 friendly win over Chile on Sunday, which was held at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium.

That strike was Firmino’s second in four appearances for the Seleção and reports in Brazil suggest he could become a mainstay in Head Coach Dunga’s plans.

The Maceió native has earned his place in the national team due to his impressive form with Hoffenheim.

This season, he has netted eight goals in 28 appearances, while his overall record since arriving from Figueirense in December 2010 for a reported fee of €4 million is 46 goals in 144 matches.

Firmino is believed to be contracted to Hoffenheim until June 2017 and though that agreement gives the German Bundesliga outfit some protection, it will be difficult to fight off strong interest from England’s biggest clubs.
