Hello and welcome to Sambafoot.com’s coverage of the Brasil Global Tour. Our stop today is London for a mouth-watering game between South American rivals Brazil and Chile!

Chile nearly elimanted Brazil at its own party last summer, but the woodwork and penalties kept Sampaoli’s team from causing a major upset. Today’s game is just a friendly, but there should still be plenty in store for us.

Dunga has enforced six changes from Thursday’s impressive 3-1 away win against France. Here is the Brazil XI: Jefferson; Danilo, Thiago Silva, Miranda, Marcelo; Souza, Fernandinho; Douglas Costa, Coutinho; Luiz Adriano, Neymar.

This is the starting eleven from Chile: Bravo, Medel, Jara, Albornoz, Isla, Millar, Aranguiz, Vidal, Alexis, Hernandez.

The national anthems at the Emirates. The atmosphere is building up.

0′ Off we are!

2′ Chile have the early possession, trying to evade Brazilian pressure. Souza commits an early faul on Alexis in the middle of the park.

4′ You wouldnt really say this is a friendly, right? High intensity, feisty challenges. This time it’s Neymar who is rolling on the floor after Albornoz tackled him.

11′ Chile playing that high line again. Brazil stuck in their own half. Albornoz gets the first card of the match for a tackle on Neymar.

14′ Sampaoli is just gesticulating a lot on the touchline, barely staying out of trouble with the linesman and the fourth official. Dunga stands with his hands in his pockets.

17′ Neymar looks very tired. Brazil are trying to involve him all the time, but it’s not working. At the other end, Sanchez bursts forward on the left and the stadium rises in anticipation, but Miranda intervenes wonderfully well to deny Sanchez an open chance.

21′ A fascinating battle between Coutinho and Isla. So far the Chilean has the upper hand. Coutinho is almost playing as a left-back!

27′ Souza gets close to breaking the deadlock, but he cant connect with Neymar’s free-kick from the left. Brazil, who have looked very disjointed this first half hour, are slowly trying to impose their game.

34′ Chile in control of the ball. Brazil, though it is partly team b, have to get their act together.

37′ Decent chance for Brazil. Marcelo floats a cross into the box, where Douglas Costa is left unmarked. He controls it with the chest, but then blasts it hastily wide.

44′ Yellow card for Neymar. The Barcelona is frustrated and needlessly gets booked.

HT Brazil 0 Chile 0. It has started to rain at the Emirates and it’s rather windy. It’s been an intense game so far, but no goals yet.

45′ The ball is rolling again, but Dunga has not made any changes yet.

50′ The attendance at the Emirates today is 60,007 – or at least that’s the number of tickets that have been sold. The second half has started a bit slower than the first. Nothing much to report for the moment. Oscar and Willian are among the Brazilian players warming up on the touchline.

55′ Penalty appeal in the Brazilian box, but Atkinson waves play on. Isla had gotten in behind Marcelo, but there was not much to it, bar perhaps a minimal push.

60′ Brazil make three changes: Robinho, Firmino and Elias come on for Coutinho, Souza and Elias.

61′ Another sub made by Dunga. Chelsea’s Willian comes on for Douglas Costa, who was simply not good.

64′ Freekick Chile. Alexis Sanchez aims for the top-left corner, but it never troubles Jefferson as the ball swerves over.

67′ Another Sanchez set piece. This time Jefferson easily gathers the low attempt.

72′ GOOOL DO BRASIL. A perfect pass from Danilo finds Firminio, who sprints clear and rounds the goalkeeper to give Brazil a very flattering lead.

72′ Millar is swapped for Fernandez by Sampaoli. Well, Chile have been in control, but Brazil lead. Yes, that does mean Dunga is truly back and well.

79′ Firmino at the edge of the box, but he can’t put it on target. Meanwhile Filipe Luis has replaced Marcelo.

84′ The second half has not been as entertaining. Chile have six minutes left to score an equalizer.

85′ Jefferson is severly tested, but he pushes Fernandez’s freekick into corner.

90′ There will be three minutes of added time.

93′ Neymar with a freekick, close but not close enough.

FT Brazil 1 Chile 0

It was not a vintage performance, but Firmino’s strike was enough to give Brazil a flattering win against Chile. Brazil remain unbeaten under Dunga with eight consecutive wins. Honduras  and Mexico up next before Brazil travel to Chile for the Copa America in June.

That’s it from us. Stay tuned for the match report.
