The Brazil under 17 team completed a great 24 hours for Brazilian football by defeating Paraguay in the South American U17 Football Championship.

The youngsters battled to three points despite falling behind to an early goal in the 7th minute. Andrey equalised and Leandro put Brazil ahead but Paraguay struck back with a goal 20 minutes from the end.

It was not until Leandro got his second in the 77th minute that Brazil finally shuck off the Paraguay challenge. The youngsters now go top after Argentina lost 2-1 away at Uruguay.

Brazil can secure the championship if they defeat Colombia in their final game on Sunday.
