The Hoffenheim forward took his place in Dunga’s first XI at training in Paris and appears to have forced Luiz Adriano out of the first team.

Firmino came off the bench to hit a late winner for his country in November, securing a 2-1 victory over Austria to ensure that Dunga retained his 100% record since succeeding Luiz Felipe Scolari as coach. The back four looks set to have just one enforced change, with Thiago Silva coming in place of the injured David Luiz. Dunga went with a double-pivot of Fernandinho and Luiz Gustavo ahead of them, and it was Willian, Oscar and Neymar supporting Firmino. Jefferson is the favorite to be the first-choice goalkeeper, although Marcelo Gröhe and Diego Alves were also used in training.

Expected Brazil team to face France: Jefferson – Danilo, João Miranda, Thiago Silva, Filipe Luis – Fernandinho, Luiz Gustavo – Willian, Oscar – Neymar; Roberto Firmino.
