Nathan’s contract runs out at the end of this month and he hasn’t signed a renewal.

Nathan rose to attention during the 2013 U17 World Cup in UAE and was linked to many clubs in Europe, including Arsenal, Roma and Monaco. São Paulo are trying to sign the 19-year-old after he rejected the proposal of Atlético-PR to renew the deal. When Nathan was signed 3 years ago, it was agreed that the deal can be extended for a further 2 years and Atlético-PR activated that clause, only to be rejected by the player. Nathan features regularly for Brazil’s youth team but he’s yet to earn a place at the club’s senior team. His club are now in court to make sure Nathan doesn’t leave at the end of the month without any compensation for Atlético-PR. São Paulo lost current Chelsea midfielder Oscar to Internacional in a similar circumstance.
