Colombia goalkeeper David Ospina still thinks that his side should have done better than their quarter-final exit to Brazil at the 2014 World Cup.

After storming through the group stages and round of 16 to reach the last eight for the first time in their history, los Cafeteros were ranked as a dark horse for the trophy, but suffered a 2-1 defeat to the tournament hosts in Fortaleza. José Pékerman’s team will have their first crack at revenge in this year’s Copa América in Chile, after they were drawn alongside Brazil in Group C, together with Peru and Venezuela. Ospina told The Guardian: “We were very pleased with how the World Cup went but, at the same time, with the players we had, we felt we could have gone that bit further. It was frustrating to lose to Brazil. But, of course, we were proud and obviously happy with all the doors that opened for us afterwards.”
