Brazil U23 will play two friendlies at the end of this month, but have lost two key players from their squad.

Braga’s exciting midfield player Danilo has been released at the request of his club as the player had to recover from an injury. He’s been replaced by Valencia’s Filipe Augusto. São Paulo’s central-defender Dória has an ankle injury, and his replacement will be Santos’ Gustavo Henrique who returned to the pitch this year after missing 2014 due to a cruciate ligament injury. Danilo was also released from the squad for the recently ended U20 South American Championship because he was a key player at his club and they didn’t want to lose him. Brazil’s U23 team keeps playing friendly games on FIFA dates as they prepare for the Olympic Games in Rio next year.
